 What a year 2020 has been...

 I love to light candles during this time of year.

Umbrella

 

Forest Animal

 I love the forest and feel very lucky that there starts one at the end of our road.

When we go for a walk I always hope to see animals, but they rarely show themselves.

In all the years we've lived here I only saw a fox once.

Rain

Most of the time I don't really mind rain,

but those gloomy grey days with constant rain

always make me feel gloomy too.

 

Harvest

 When I was in the USA I bought a book with stickers for each month.

For this month I found a sticker with Harvest time on it, perfect for this weeks theme.

I combined it with a sticker of pumpkins and washitape.

Acorn

 

I've already drawn a realistic acorn a few weeks ago,

so this time a fun one!

Pumpkin

I really like pumpkins.

I like to see them, make meals with them, eat pumpkin loaf at Starbucks

or drink pumpkin spiced coffee.

For this inchie I used a sticker on a scrap of paper.

Wind

 

A quick little sketch on a windy day!

Sweater

I'm not a sweater person, I only have an old one that I used to wear when we had real winters, and we went skating on the lake.
I was very happy to find this sticker of a sweater, for the background I used a paper with a pattern that you often see on knitted sweaters.

Auburn

 

Auburn is the most beautiful haircolor!

(my daughter's haircolor is auburn ;-))

Mushroom

The forest begins at the end of our street and I love going for a walk and look for mushrooms.
There are a lot of beautiful mushrooms, but it took me 17 years to spot the first fly agaric.
So for this inchie I used a sticker of one on a scrap of paper.

Leaves

 

I love the smell of Autumn in the air when the leaves start to fall!

It's autumn again, time really flies.

For this inchie I used a scrap of paper and a sticker.

Flowers

 

Kite

I like watching kites.

For this inchie I was lucky to find a picture with this little kite.

 

Being outdoors is wonderful,

I only wish humankind would be a bit more careful

with our beautiful world!

Travel

About travel I can say that it is a passion of mine and I have traveled a lot.

On this inchie I used a little stamp.

Sun

I hope it's a sunny day today.....

Ice cream

Who doesn't like ice cream?

I don't like ice cream with chocolate, but I would love to eat the other two. 

Beach

I'm not a beach person when it's hot,

I need natural shade being a redhead!

Swimming

I love swimming and I am very fortunate with our own swimmingpool.

For this inchie I found a little picture with a swimmer.

Inchie Caravan

No camping for us this year.

Sun hat

I always wear a sun hat in the summer and I love it.

For this inchie I found a sticker with a beach bag and a sun hat.

Orange

The California poppy, golden poppy, California sunlight or cup of gold, 

is a species of flowering plant in the family Papaveraceae,

native to the United States and Mexico.

It's a beautiful fragile flower that closes every evening.

In Dutch it is called "Slaapmutsje" (Nightcap).

Watering can

This was difficult to make.

The tiny wateringcan was part of a larger stamp,

so I had to cover everything except for the watering can.

Then I stamped another stamp with flowers an drew the waterdrops.

Summer

This week, they are expecting a heatwave here.

A bit too much summer for me ;-)

Butterly

For this inchie I used a sticker of a very colorful butterfly

Cleaning

I clean a lot these days, stupid corona virus :-(

Tulips

I am not a big fan of tulips and  only like them if they are white and closed.

For this inchie I could only find this little sticker with yellow tulips, 

but the drawing is nice.

Inchie Pussy Willow

I know a little pussy

Her coat is silver gray

She lives down in the meadow

Not very far away.

Though she is a pussy

She’ll never be a cat.

She is a pussy willow.

Now what do you think of that!

Lamb

When I think of Spring,

I also think of cute little lambs 

running in a meadow.

I had a sticker of a lamb and I placed

it on top of stamped grass.

Birds

I like drawing quirky birds!

Meadow

A meadow is an open habitat, or field,

 vegetated by grass and other non-woody plants. 

They attract a multitude of wildlife 

and support flora and fauna that could not thrive in other habitats (Wikipedia)

I made this meadow with a grass stamp 

and a tiny flower stamp.

Blossom

Trees with spring blossom are so beautiful!

Easter

Happy Easter everyone!

For this inchie I used a sticker.

Green

Those fragile plants you see growing from the soil

where you've put little seeds in, are little miracles of nature.

Nest

For this bird's nest I used a part of a bigger stamp.

Spring

In our neighbourhood there are hundreds of crocuces in the spring.

I love all the different colors they come in!

Snowdrops

Who doesn't like snowdrops, the first sign that spring is around the corner.

For this inchie I used a stamp

White

Favorite Book

Curl up by the fireplace from last week with your favorite book.

For this inche I used a sticker with a stack of books and wrote my favorite book on the top

Snowman

I love snow and ice, but unfortunately we almost never get any.

So I think it will stay with this snowman.

I was very happy that I had a snowmanstamp that fitted this inchie.

Mittens

Not really weather for mittens here in the Netherlands,

winter still isn't coming!

Warm drink

A nice cup of coffe, tea or chocolate to warm you on a cold day.

I used a stamp for this inchie.

Inchie Ice Skating

I don't ice skate anymore, but I really enjoyed as a kid.

Bare trees

In the winter we see a lot of bare trees, so for this inchie

I used a stamp of a branch and drew some more branches.
