Inchie Australia

I always thought that in Australia there would be a koala in almost every tree.
But during our stay in Australia I learned that they are not so common at all and that there are a lot of people who live there, who have never seen a koala in the wild in their entire lives.
So I feel _very_ happy and privileged that I have seen one in the wild.
That is why I chose a koala for this inchie and I used one of my own pictures.

  1. Lovely image of these little animals...we don't have them here in Tasmania, apart from a few in animal parks, but there is a small island in Victoria, called Raymond's Island where indeed there really is almost one, or more, in every tree. I have never seen so many in such a short time as when we visited this tiny place in the Gippsland Lakes area a few years ago...you are right, one can get a very stiff neck searching when bush walking in many other areas. 2. How I envy you that you have seen one of the Wild koala bears, I've only seen them in captivity.

  3. So cool that you have seen a Koala up close and in person. I have seen them in zoos but that is as close as I get
